ZazuPix is built for international travelers paying with Pix in Brazil. This page explains how top-ups, Pix cash-out, refunds, and personal data work — in clear English.
1. Terms of Service
1.1 Overview & Service Description
ZazuPix provides a digital wallet for international travelers in Brazil. By purchasing BRL balance with a foreign payment card (processed by Stripe), you can pay merchants and individuals across Brazil using the official Pix network of theCentral Bank of Brazil (Banco Central do Brasil).
ZazuPix is not a Brazilian bank account and does not replace a local CPF banking relationship.
1.2 Top-Up Limits & Foreign Currency Processing
- Transaction limits: minimum card top-up$50.00 USD / €50.00 EUR (or in-app equivalent). Maximum single top-up$500.00 USD / €500.00 EUR. Daily cumulative top-up$1,000.00 USD equivalent. Rolling 30-day limit$3,000.00 USD equivalent under simplified KYC.
- Exchange rate & fees: USD/EUR → BRL rates are shown before approval. A Service & Security Fee (default 5%) is charged on the card in addition to the wallet subtotal. A 1% fee may be deducted from converted BRL before wallet credit. Fees are itemized before charge confirmation. Card payments use Stripe Checkout with 3D Secure where required.
1.3 Pix Instant Payments & Cash-Out Rules
- Instant cash-out: Wallet balances are intended for Pix payments within Brazil.
- Authentication & PIN: Outbound Pix requires step-up authentication via a mandatory 4-digit Wallet PIN verified on our servers. You are solely responsible for PIN confidentiality.
- Transaction limits: Default security caps up toR$ 1,000.00 per Pix and R$ 3,000.00 per UTC day. We may lower limits for risk, incomplete KYC, or suspected fraud.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of Pix keys / QR codes. Mistaken destinations generally cannot be reversed after settlement.
1.4 Security Hold & Refund Policy
- 7-day security hold: To support AML controls and reduce card fraud, unspent balance refunds are locked for 7 days from the relevant card top-up.
- Original payment method only: Approved refunds are issued exclusively to the original credit/debit card via Stripe. Refunds to third-party bank accounts or external Pix keys are prohibited.
- Refunds are proportional to remaining BRL versus the original deposit. Non-refundable card network / Stripe / FX overhead may reduce the amount returned.
- We may refuse or delay refunds when fraud, chargebacks, or sanctions risk is detected.
1.5 Fraud, Chargebacks & Account Actions
We may freeze balances, reverse credits, and block accounts for abusive chargebacks, fake KYC, sanction hits, AML red flags, or anomalous device/location patterns.
1.6 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZazuPix is not liable for merchant disputes, user-entered Pix key mistakes, partner rail delays, or FX differences between quote and settlement.
1.7 Contact
Support requests should use the email associated with your ZazuPix account.
2. Privacy Policy
2.1 Data We Collect
We collect minimal personal data required for payments and fraud prevention:
- Identity: full name, email, and passport/ID details when required for verification.
- Payment: card data tokenized and processed by Stripe (ZazuPix does not store full card numbers).
- Technical: device identifiers, IP address, OS, and transaction / system logs for security auditing.
- Optional: approximate location at Pix payment time when you grant permission (antifraud / dispute support).
2.2 How We Protect Your Data
- Communications between the app, API, Supabase, Stripe, and banking partners use TLS.
- Sensitive ledger writes are server-side; database access uses Row-Level Security (RLS) so clients cannot freely update wallet balances.
- Wallet PIN verification is server-side; PIN hash columns are protected from client exposure where policy allows.
2.3 Why We Process Data
- Provide the prepaid Pix traveler wallet
- Meet KYC / AML and tier-limit obligations
- Prevent fraud and secure step-up authentication
- Process card top-ups and refunds via Stripe
- Customer support and legal compliance (LGPD / GDPR principles: purpose limitation, minimization, security)
2.4 Third-Party Services
We share necessary operational data only with audited partners:
- Stripe Inc. — international card processing and 3D Secure evaluation
- Banco Inter S.A. — Pix cash-out on the official Central Bank of Brazil network
- Supabase — authenticated database / auth hosting
We do not sell personal data.
2.5 Retention & Your Rights
KYC and transaction records are retained as required for financial compliance and dispute windows, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. Subject to applicable law (including LGPD and GDPR where they apply), you may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, and withdraw non-essential consents (such as optional location). Contact support from your Account email.
